Margaret is a specialist allergy and dermatology nurse with a post grad diploma in allergy from the University of Southampton. Margaret currently works within the clinical team at Allergy UK providing clinical support and advice on a range of activities, and as Education Fellow with the BSACI supporting the implementation of the national allergy education strategy. Margaret has worked within NHS Scotland for over 20 years in various clinical roles and was the allergy advisor / programme manager for the Children and Young People’s Allergy Network Scotland NMCN. Margaret was involved in the development of a unique project with the University of Edinburgh, funded by Allergy UK, to integrate research and development into everyday medical practice, through the development of nurse led allergy clinics and for this work was awarded the BSACI Barry Kay award for excellence in allergy care and research in primary care in 2021.
